Isabela II

Carrying a maximum of only 40 guests, yacht Isabela II offers the perfect base from which to explore the Galapagos Islands and is operated by Metropolitan Touring. All 21 cabins are en-suite and have outside views with ample storage space, a safety box and a hairdryer. Standard cabins have twin beds, category 2 classic cabins have double beds and category 3 cabins have a double and a single bed. The Master suite on the Main deck is larger and has an additional sitting area.

The ship is air-conditioned throughout and facilities include a spacious dining room, bar/lounge, well-stocked library and reading room, gift shop, fitness area, Jacuzzi and spacious deck area. There is also an additional bar on the boat deck. The ship also has a glass-bottom boat for excursions, sea kayaks and snorkelling equipment.

A special feature is the three English-speaking naturalist guides which allows for small groups when exploring. These expert guides will make your cruise an enriching experience, sharing their in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm.

This itinerary differs from the majority of cruises in the Galapagos. There will of course be some of the regular highlights but in addition, Isabela II will cruise to Tower Island, also known as Genovesa. This is a low-lying volcano rising just above the ocean surface and is an oasis for seabirds with thousands of frigatebirds, red-footed boobies and storm petrels coming here to nest.
